Cecelia Moore was living an overall happy and healthy life in Halifax when she was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 41. “I was fit, I was healthy, I had a great job – really nothing [was] stopping me until I found that lump,” she says.

After receiving surgery and treatments such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy, Moore was given the opportunity to be part of a clinical trial for breast cancer. Moore’s oncologist told her she was the perfect candidate for the trial, and Moore jumped at the chance to not only get better care for herself, but to be a part of research that could help others.
