My name is Ram Yadav, and I am a registered nurse working in the 5.2 ICU at Halifax Infirmary. As an ICU nurse, I am privileged to play a crucial role in the lives of my patients, particularly during their most vulnerable moments. My responsibility is to provide expert care to patients who are critically ill, and work collaboratively with other healthcare team to achieve the best possible outcomes for the patients. I also enjoy learning and take additional education courses as often as I can. Each day is a new, rewarding challenge that keeps me on my toes.
I answered the call to become a nurse because I wanted to make a meaningful impact in the world and to help those who are in need. Nursing is a profession that allows me to do just that , and I feel incredibly grateful to be a part of such a compassionate and caring community.
As a nurse, I draw inspiration from the senior nurses on my ICU team, who demonstrate a level of dedication and commitment to patient care that is truly inspiring. Seeing how they work tirelessly to ensure that every patient receives the best possible care motivates me to strive for excellence in my own practice. I am also inspired by the strength and resilience of my patients and their families, who continue to fight illness and adversity with grace and courage.
